Yeah, it was...jeez, I dunno. Wrath was the one that brought me half the research I needed to cobble my circle together, and even then it only worked 'cause Dad did his thing on the Germany side at the...same time? I don't know how time works between the two worlds. I know when Brother accidentally activated one of the circles on that side it opened a portal temporarily near me and then sucked what came through back a while after.
Of course I do! Looking back I'm surprised I didn't take a rebound right to the teeth!
[...oh.]
...he survived her, yeah. Brother said when he came to the bitch had ran off and just left Wrath there. Gluttony was gone, too; we think he must have found her and killed her. He was still down there, when I went back to open the Gate again.
Had any other homunculii mutated to a clearly non-human form before?
[This time, it's a while before Envy actually sends a response. He hadn't known that Dante had died, or might have died. A part of him had suspected she might have, after losing almost all her homunculi and the Stone, but the larger part had just assumed that she'd have slipped away to rebuild. Gathered new servants, reworked her plan, and kept going as she always had for the past four hundred years.]
[Thinking about her being dead...he's not sure if he's relieved or upset or both.]
[...and then there's Gluttony.]
Gluttony died in that ballroom, whatever you met down there wasn't him anymore.
[Al doesn't really notice the lull, too caught up in his own horrible memories of that day. But when the response does come he frowns a little before responding.]
What was left of him, then. And...hold on, I can't put it in words.
[He grabs paper and pencil, and Al sends Envy a picture a few minutes later of basically what he means.]
I have no idea why he looked like that, but he did. When Wrath was fighting him he kept bleeding out red stones.
[Wow. When Alphonse had said clearly non-human, Envy hadn't expected something like THAT. Dissolved back into something like what a newborn homunculus looked like, maybe, or at least something near the same size as he was before.]
[Not a giant with inexplicable tail-heads.]
No, that hasn't ever happened before. But none of us has ever eaten a philosopher's stone and been left without a mind either.
Our bodies are more...mutable, fluid. It makes sense that the power got out of control, and the body along with it.

you know how completely ridiculous that sounds, right?
[And a minute later, after waffling over even sending it, he adds:]
Wrath survived, then? I thought she would have killed him.
[He figures he doesn't have to elaborate on who he means by 'she'. But Wrath surviving? It's giving him...kind of a strange feeling of relief.]

[You know, out of curiosity.]

Granted I also couldn't remember pretty much anything important of the last five years, so that didn't help much.
