[That poor Pidgey had to carry so much... But on the other hand, Rin's ecstatic to have received such a great gift for Christmas! ...Though he has to wonder how Alphonse even found such a cool set of hat and gloves...

His return gift is beautifully wrapped and inside is:

-a palm sized figurine of a mareep
-homemade Christmas Cake
-a jar of fresh MooMoo Milk
-an assortment of homemade pokefood for Al's team

And, of course, a handwritten note that says:

Next year is gonna rock! Maybe we can hang out sometime? Thanks for the gifts. The cookies were good!

[Wow, Al, if Rin thought anyone was talking bad about his brother there would have been hell to pay. Rin is honestly surprised for a moment before he realizes that Al doesn't know what he means.]

Nah, he was pretty cool! I only got to talk to him once when I came back. He took care of my little brother. I meant some douche from my home.

[BUT IN HE GOES~! He's eager to see these pokemon of Al's. It's been a while since Rin had a full team.]

How many do you have anyway? You're not really trying to collect all of 'em are ya?

[Al rubs his neck and grins sheepishly.]

I'm not intending to! I think I'm up to thirty now...but a lot of them have been Pokemon I inherited when people left. I got six when Brother and Winry left last month.

[When Al opens to door to his room, they're immediately greeted by a Luxray butting his head into Al's stomach with an affectionate rumble. Past him Rin will be able to see a few others, a Litleo curled up on the bed near two eggs and a pair of Sylveons running around playing.] Ack! Eddie, jeez, I was away for ten minutes at most!

[The affectionate Luxray is already a good sign that Al is not only a good person to be around, but he also cares a lot for his Pokemon. He half expected to see thirty pokemon in the small room, but the ones out and about were already enough.]

I got a bunch that way as well. But that was a while back. Your guys really like you!

[Mickey hops from his shoulder to the back of Luxray's neck and immediately latches onto other electric type. Rin reaches to stop him, but decides against it. If Luxray were the type to immediately snap, that would have happened by now.]

I shoulda brought mine along too. I bet they woulda loved to play with 'em.

[Al laughs once Eddie backs off (and cranes his neck around to sniff at Mickey curiously) and lets his friend into the room.]

Well, I try to do my best by them all! The hotel doesn't like me having too many of them out at once because of the mess it causes, but I try to make sure they all get some time out to play and get exercise.

[He grins and flops down into one of the two chairs in the room, and the Sylveon pair stop their play long enough to bounce over and greet Rin.]

Nothing's saying you can't bring the rest of yours over sometime! Or take them to the park to play there, too.
