[Alphonse's expression isn't nearly as stormy as Envy's is, but he still scowls and throws and arm out in gesture as he snaps back.]
And yours would wind up exactly the same if you go after that Marowak! You know it was just trying to defend it's trainer, and do you really blame it considering how Henry's been lately? I'm upset about this all too, but getting revenge is just going to bring more grief!

Of course he's not. We all know if things were different here this whole thing would have blown up long before now, and not because of our end.
[He sighs and runs a hand through his hair--need to get it cut soon, it's getting shaggy again.]

[Envy's scowl deepens, but it's because he knows that Al has a point. Still, he unfolds his arms so that he can gesture sharply upwards with one of them. He's started pacing again, if only because he has to get all of this out somehow, and motion is really the only good outlet at the moment.]

[It's another quiet evening in Violet and Ralph is hanging around the back of the Poke'Mart watching the trucks unload and the restockers start their business. He's gotten quite used to leaning against the wall with his arms folded but folded just so that anyone passing could see his security badge.]

[Carter sits by his heels, vigilant as ever watching the men unload the trucks. His collar has a little plastic police badge that Ralph got out of a vending machine pinned to it.]

[Cecil doesn't often wander too far away from his trainer, but Alphonse was busy trying to work with one of the younger Pokemon and he was bored. And it's hardly like a Pokemon of his level could get into any trouble he couldn't find a way out of.]

[Cecil bounds away from the truck with a Max Potion clamped firmly in his jaws. He lands delicately just in front of Ralph and pauses for a moment, looking at guard and Growlithe alike with an amused twitch of his tail before taking off down the street.]

[Carter might be a fast pup, but Cecil is much faster. Fortunately for the cops, though, Cecil is more interested in an entertaining chase than the prize. He bounds down the street in almost lazy leaps, looking back and letting out a muffled yowl to taunt his pursuers.]
[He turns a corner, getting a fair distance away before stopping and turning to be sure he hasn't lost them.]

[It's quite easy to see if they're on Cecil's trail or not because the nearing owww oowww OWWWW OWWWWW of Carter is hard to miss.]
[Ralph, meanwhile, is pumping his arms and puffing. He has to admit he's kind of enjoying the chase too. As nice as standing around looking Important was, dashing after a crooked Pokemon could only paint a better picture of Do Right Ralph in the public's eye.]

[Rockets? Rockets?! Cecil casts an incredibly sour glance back at Ralph and bounces off a trash can as he passes by so it spills out across the ground in the pair's path. How dare you, sir!]
[Carter plows right through the garbage like a organic bulldozer but Ralph isn't so lucky. He tries to veer off to the side but much like a charging bull, once he gets going it's sort of hard to stop.]

[Ahh, yes. Sweet victory. Cecil takes a chance for the sake of amusement and doubles back, jumping over Carter to--very deliberately--use Ralph's stomach as a springboard. Cecil 'mowrrrrr's and bounds down the street, tail flicking merrily.]
[Carter's enormous bushy brows fly up as the Liepard flies overhead. He skids to a halt, falling to his butt and leaning back so that he is watching the purple and yellow blur disappear upside down. Huwuwuwuwh???]
[Ralph lets out an appropriate WHOOF! as Cecil bounces off of him. His head is spinning too hard from smacking against the hard pavement to even think of reaching up to snatch that long tail. He lets out a groan and slowly starts to rise before a SECOND set of paws bounces off his belly.]
[OOWWOOOOO OWOOOOOO WOOWOOOOO goes Carter's siren howl as he keeps up the chase. Ralph just lets out a groan and lays out flat on the pavement. He'd cover the potion with his paycheck if he could just...lay here a while.]
