Ninth Transmutation | [video/action for Safari Zone???] brb re-enacting first episode of Pokemon

[The feed opens to a panning view from what could be a mountaintop if the plain below wasn't so close. There are plenty of Pokemon around, a few Geodude and Graveler rolling down the craggy hill and past a barrier in the distance a group of grazing Ryhorn and Tauros can be seen.]

[The camera turns around to Al's grinning face, a tiny little Aron perched cheerfully on his shoulder.] The Safari Zone is so awesome! I've never seen so many different Pokemon in one place, and the environments are amazing! If you've been wondering about coming, you should definitely check it out!

[He's about to continue before there's a sudden yelp and the sounds of rocks being dislodged by hasty movements, and Al looks over curiously.] Rin, what's going--what did you do?!

I didn't do anything! [Something brown and blurry shoots past, and Alphonse quickly takes off as well, the camera jostling before the feed cuts out.]

[A short while later another post goes up, this one shot from the inside of a small alcove of rock and showing Al, Rin, and the little Aron huddled closely together. Angry cries of 'Spear! Spear!' go off in the background, and neither boy looks very happy.]

Uh...anyone have any tips for getting a flock of Spearow to leave you alone?

[ Unfortunately for you, Rin, this Yukio hasn't been bestowed his position of substitute teacher for spoiler reasons yet so... your bluff has zero effect on him. Instead, there's a sigh as he turns his attention to Al. ]

Sorry, Al. This... kind of happens pretty often.

[ But don't think that means you've gotten off the hook, Rin. Because his attention is back on you if only for a second in order for him to slowly back into the hidey hole Al and Rin have gotten themselves in. ]

Pikari, Kasumi... take care of the stragglers. I'll take it from here.

[ There's a nod from both of his pokemon as they run off, bent on chasing off whatever lingered from the enraged flock as Yukio settles in with the two. ]

Is anyone hurt?

[ Or anything, knowing Rin's tendency of picking up strays... ]

[Rin looks to Al first when Yukio poses his question. Al looked fine and Rin knew for a fact that Mickey was fine. A little freaked out, but not physically hurt in any way, shape or form.

Yep.

Everyone is fine.

Every... one.]

It doesn't happen that often... [Rin has the decency to look properly ruffled at that point. The nerve of his brother and his words!] We're both fine, see?

[Just. One more look at Al, to be certain. You're just so tiny.

Like...

... a baby spearow...]

[The tiny little Aron still clinging to Al's shoulder squeaks a response, trying to puff up and look a lot braver than he had been cowering in the cave with the boys. He's big an' stwong!]

[Al waves off Yukio's apology with a smile] Oh, it's no worse than the trouble Brother would get into, I'm fine.

[Al blinks and looks up at Rin with a confused look when he notices the odd staring, though.] ...what? Is something wrong?

Well... at any rate... let's get out of here before they decide to come back.

[ He's just going to call Kasumi back into her pokeball but leave Pikari out, just in case. At least he's going to until he stops, raising a brow at Rin's sudden staring. ]

...Rin...? Let's go.

[pinnedbangs]

[. . . but but but but but but]

Should we - I mean, they live here and all so it's no big deal. But I think we should check on the spearow's nest one more time.

[Or get a park ranger WHICH IS SAFER...]

What if they got hurt?

Battles happen in the wild, too. They won't have taken that much damage, they'll recover just fine.

[ His brother's always had a soft spot for smaller, weaker things so he really can't blame you, Rin. But to prevent things from getting out of hand, he's just going to reach over and grab you by the arm to pull you off. ]

And rile them up again? Do you really want the whole swarm chasing after all three of us? Pikari and Kasumi can't keep this up forever, no matter what level they're at.

[ Don't make him grab you by the ear, Rin. ]

[Al phrased it in a much kinder way. Rin still sulks, just enough to make him look like a pouty, lanky, over-sized kid. And he'll just shake his arm out of Yukio's grip, thank you. He can walk all by himself.]

Fine.

[Al bites his lip on a chuckle, trying to spare Rin's bruised pride, and follows the brothers with one last glance back to the flock to be sure they're dispersing properly.]

Just be more careful next time, Rin. You don't have to get right on top of them to watch.
