[Al had taken some time fumbling around with the Gear once he got out of that odd town, testing the buttons and managing to reason his way into making a video post--though he doesn't realize that it is transmitting video yet. Alphonse comes onto the screen sitting at the base of a tree, and actually seems relatively calm about all this. It isn't the first time he's been tossed into a strange new world, though at least the last time he'd meant to go there. Anyone that knows him might notice he seems a bit...young, though.]

Okay, I think it's recording...um, hello! I just got here, and I've read that little book, so I know what we're supposed to be here for, but...does anyone have any information as to how we were transported here? The only method I know to move between worlds like this doesn't...really seem to apply here.

[It looks like he would continue, but his Shinx takes that moment to pounce into his lap and headbutt under his chin--gently, though, and clearly just wanting attention.] Ah, jeez! It's barely been five minutes, can't I pay attention to something else for that long? --um, sorry, my Pokémon is being kind of needy...are they always like this? I know we're supposed to battle them, but this little guy is so much like a little kitten I can't see him fighting anything except his own tail! [And really, he's kind of offended by that concept in general. It's so cruel!!] Um, anyway, if anyone has any information I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

[Really absolutely fantastic-- no wait, what? Had others already talked to him about all the weird stuff?]

W-Wait, Alphonse, hold on. Did Winry already talk with you?

[Al has to juggle his Gear out of the reach of his Shinx for a moment before he can reply.] Stop that, you--Eddie, stop, I'm trying to talk to Brother! I'm not going anywhere, jeez!

I--yeah, she has. I'm from the other Amestris. [He's...pretty nervous right now, it's not hard to tell. Edward is Edward no matter where he's from, but he doesn't know that Ed will feel the same. If Edward to reject him over that...or worse, resent him for being the one to show up and not the Al from his world, Al's not sure how to handle that. But...he wouldn't, right?] I...you're not mad, are you?

[Ah. So that's how it was. It wasn't the Al he knew and grew up with. Their pasts would differ... and that's why he looked so different.

But. The fact remained that this was Alphonse Elric. Ed would accept him as his brother, because damn, Al is always his brother, no matter what.]

Of course not! I will have to inquire about everything from your side, that's all! You're still my only brother.

[Ed's easy acceptance brings a wide, relieved smile to Al's face, and he laughs in response.] Of course! And I've gotta keep an eye on you--you haven't been causing any trouble here on your own, have you?

Of course I haven't! ... well, nothing serious at least.

[Ed. Ed, do you see this face? You should recognize the complete lack of belief in that statement here.]

...Brother. What did you do.

... I got hit by a flamethrower...

By a what?! How did that even happen?!

It's a move that Pokémon are able to do. It shoots out a ray of fire at its opponent...

I didn't know she knew it, so she demonstrated.

And she decided to do it on you. [Al lets out a long, tired sigh.] Well, since you're not covered in bandages I assume you didn't get burnt too badly.

No. I just lost a bit of hair, but it's already grown back.

Good! And you're making sure you know what sort of abilities your Pokemon have now, right?

[Right?]

[When he... remembers.]

[Al only huffs out a small sigh this time.] Well, it is a lot to memorize all at once.

Well, yeah... but that's what the Pokedex is for, basically. To remind you about the moves.

Ah, yeah, it does list that, doesn't it? I started reading through that to get familiar with what all the different sorts of Pokemon are. They're...kinda weird.

[Especially Ghost-types. Nope nope nope don't wanna get stuck with those.]

Yeah they are. It doesn't really get any better as things go, either... [At least Ed still hadn't met a moving trash bag.]

Though, aside from Pokémon... there's something I want to tell you.

[siiiiiiiigh] Well, at least I have warning...

Huh? What is it?

[Quietly he raises his hand that used to be an automail to show... not an automail.]

I'm from a time where we did it. We managed to restore our bodies. ... well, I still have an automail leg, but otherwise.

[Al's eyes go wide, and a relieved, incredulous smile spreads across his face.] That--that's so great! I tried so hard in my world, but I wasn't able to--even if it's just your arm restored, that's still so wonderful!

[Tears are actually pricking at his eyes, and he quickly scrubs at his eyes to dry them.]

[He smiles. It was a long and rather painful journey, which can probably seen from his face so he'll save that story for later.]

You should tell me about it once we meet, okay? I want to know what your world is like.

Of course! There's...a lot you should know about, anyway, with who else is here. [A shadow flickers over Al's expression but it clears quickly.] I wanna hear how things went in your world, too!

[Something's definitely wrong, but he won't poke the subject right now. Instead he gives him another grin.]

Looks like we have a lot of talking ahead.
