Just how common is all this stuff?

[Yeah, that's a very panicked Alphonse on the screen, with two Espurrs clinging very tightly to his head. Painfully tight, in fact, judging from that wince. And it looks like there are more huddling around Al--seriously, someone needs to find homes for them before he adopts every single damn one of them.]

At least the poor things don't seem to be hurt from it, but this is crazy! I heard about that storm with the Sharpedo, but this doesn't even make sense!

This is the second time I have seen Pokémon fall from the sky...

[Say hi to Scar, Alphonse. He basically has an Espurr clinic going at his campsite. Blankets and bowls of food in the background, swarms of creepy, blank-eyed cats stumbling about.]

The Sharpedo incident being the first.

These guys? [A few more creep up to shiver and stare at the screen over his shoulders, and he give a very small shrug so he doesn't dislodge them.] I might, they seem to be the most attached to me out of all of them. And not...um. Just in the literal meaning.

[Al turns the camera to explain--apparently Al has gathered as many of the Espurr from outside as he can to shelter them, and where he's sitting is very swiftly becoming a literal mountain of fuzzy, shivering little bodies. His other Pokemon can be seen off-camera, eyeing this whole mess with mixed expressions.] I-I couldn't just leave them all outside...

[Obviously Ed hasn't come back in just yet.]

The residents have taken to laying mattresses out in the town, and at least their landings aren't so hard now.

Personally, I think the Sharpedo one is weirder because there's a movie about it way before it happened.

It's not all that common, fortunately, though the fact that the only two instances I can think of happened in close proximity is... worrying. I'm hoping it doesn't become a theme...

Yes. Yes, it is. You haven't really experienced this place until something on the level of a shark ending up half buried in your yard happens to you... fortunately, I didn't hear of any deaths, but that was to be expected.

[Ed has been trying to avoid getting drowned in Espurrs. Well, he managed that - except with one. It seems this little girl has taken a liking to Ed since he heroically caught her from falling!! ... that was an accident, but oh well.

Ed will approach Al and... frown at the two kittens on top of him... and to every other Espurr on the ground.]

Seriously... you didn't gather these here by your own will, right?

[Al starts guiltily and swivels around to look at Ed--it's something like thirteen Espurrs altogether, and now they're all staring at Ed, too. Eddie the Luxio, meanwhile, lays his ears back and glares at Ed from where he's laying under a window, well away from the fuzzy pile.]

Th-that--! Well, they were all huddled around outside, and I couldn't just leave them out where they could get hurt...

[great, just great! The one day, when her Poochyena is actually excited to get out of her room -- she's like an indoor cat, she just happens to be a dog -- cats are raining from the sky. Psychic cats even. So Winry's been busy trying to keep the dog away from the cats, she at least seems to be calm whenever Winry is holding her.

... She's just going to hold the dog very tight when they run into Al and the cats.]

[Winry happens to catch Al in the middle of herding the Espurr back to the hotel room, so he only startles a little when he sees her. The Espurr pair are still clinging to his head, and the rest of the Espurr huddle closer around Al's legs when they spot Winry's Poochyena.]

Wha--I, n-no, I know I can't keep them all! But I just...they started following me, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to shelter them until all this peters out, you know?
